Some Essential Questions

Aim: How do we maintain our blogs daily so we can write to learn?

Do Now: Check out the rubric for blogs under the pages tab to the right and evaluate your posting from yesterday. If you have not yet created your blog, do so now.

Bookmark www.brainiacsofcrotona.blogspot.com  and write it down because this blog is the first blog you will visit each day.

Welcome Back to Brain Science Literacy!
As we embark on our first unit of discovery, there are some essential questions to guide our research and reading.

  • How much of our brain function are we born with and how much do we learn?
  • How can/do we re-wire our brains at times of crisis and challenge?
  • What is the relationship between our brains and our minds?
  • How do our brains and/or minds define us as individuals?
Choose one of the questions and begin researching an answer. First you must plan a strategy for researching the answer. What will you do? You might write out a plan for yourself. Take some notes.

For your second posting.... Tell the world which question you attempted to answer and your findings so far.

See 10/1/2013 posting for creating your own blog

A reminder that you are responsible for grading your "Where I'm From" poem using the rubric that was given to you last week along with the assignment. If you lost this paper, you can get it either below or by clicking on the assignment on Engrade. You will not get credit for this project unless you evaluate your poem using the rubric. Be sure to include supporting comments to your score.

***Editing sheets must be turned in with the final draft in order to receive full credit for the "Where I'm From" project***
